In the UK August meant no school but a lot of rain! Seeking to escape the traditionally dreary summer a lot of people seek warmer temperatures abroad. At least this was the case for our August Video Winner: Rhian! Rhian submitted a wonderful Instagram video of her daughter playing in Lac de Bourget in France despite her broken arm.
Children are not exactly known for their good timing and with only three weeks to go until term ended Rhian’s daughter broke her arm racing her sister. Much to Eira’s disappointment it was not her dominant hand so she still had to do her school work but keeping the cast dry was proving tricky. Especially with an upcoming summer holiday to France, whose temperatures were continuing to reach up to 40 degrees.
Having previously dealt with a broken leg Rhian had used cast covers before but these had only been suitable for showering. Having originally attempted the ill-advised plastic bag Rhian came across Bloccs®. Deciding this was her best shot at giving her daughter a good holiday Rhian settled on the Medium Child Arm.
Beginning with a quick test at home in the shower Rhian decided to take it on their holiday to France. Upon arriving in Lac du Bourget, Eira was able to swim, play and paddleboard! She even did a little bit of rock jumping all whilst Bloccs® kept her cast completely dry.
It may have saved their holiday but the Bloccs® cover continued to be a huge help at home. Rhian’s daughter was able to continue with her swimming lessons at their local leisure centre! Even in the rainy UK Eira got to enjoy all her water-based summer activities.
